Privacy notice

Last updated: [DATE]

Who we are

Benchi is an early-stage AI workout coach app. This notice covers our waitlist website. The person responsible for your data (the "controller" under UK GDPR) is [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY NAME], based in London, UK. Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

What we collect

What we use it for

We do not use your data for anything else.

Our legal basis

For legal review: check this section carefully.

Email marketing also follows the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which is why we ask for your consent first.

Cookies and browser storage

Your browser's localStorage holds two essential things: your waitlist details (place in line, referral code and referral count) so the page remembers you when you refresh, and your cookie consent choice. These are needed for the site to work as you asked, so they do not need consent.

Analytics and advertising pixels are only loaded if you accept them in the consent banner. If you decline, they are not loaded. You can change your choice by clearing this site's storage in your browser.

Who we share it with

Your signup data is processed for us by our waitlist service provider, [WAITLIST PROVIDER], which acts on our instructions. If you accept advertising or analytics pixels, those providers will also receive data about your visit. We do not sell your data.

For legal review: if the provider or any pixel provider stores data outside the UK, add the transfer safeguards used.

How long we keep it

We keep your data until Benchi launches, plus [RETENTION PERIOD]. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will act on it sooner. We may keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, or by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your rights

You have the right to:

To use any of these, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top.
